You will have the chance to bid on solar at the Council’s live auction at their annual Green Tie Affair on Fri, April 25 from 7-11pm at University Club of Nashville. The installed 3 kilowatt solar PV system is valued at $18,000. Bidding will start at $13,500. What’s included:
•12 250-watt solar panels
•One 3000-watt inverter
•Roof-mounted racking system
•All other required equipment and labor
System will generate about 4,000 kWh per year which amounts to about $550 per year through TVA’s Green Power Providers program. The 30% Federal Tax Credit will further reduce the cost, and TVA will pay $1,000 after system completion.
